The X3DNA and PATH environment variables
« on: October 24, 2016, 06:34:40 pm »
 export X3DNA='/home/xiangjun/x3dna-v2.3'

These commands do not work sin you have specifed  /xiangjun/  The proper command is

 export X3DNA=/home/x3dna-v2.3

The same is true for the PATH change.

Thanks for your stopping by. The output for the X3DNA and PATH environment variables as in given in my original post is based on the settings in my installation. It is automatically and correctly detected by the x3dna_setup script, since in my example the x3dna-v2.3 base folder is indeed under /home/xiangjun instead of directly under /home. Put another way, there is no directory named /home/x3dna-v2.3 in my computer.

Did you install 3DNA at /home/x3dna-v2.3? Then you'd need root privilege to set up it that way, a practice that is neither necessary nor recommended.

Hope this clarifies any confusion you may have.
